My studio practice extends architectural thinking beyond the building. Working across sculpture, charcoal drawing, film, and installation, I explore how materials change over time and how the built environment is shaped by the forces around it. Using common construction materials, I create imagined moments where nature begins to merge with, reclaim, and transform what humans have built.

With a background in architecture and sustainability, I am interested in our desire to build things that last, despite knowing that nothing is permanent. I imagine a future where roots fracture concrete, moss overtakes buildings, and the structures we create become small remnants within a much larger landscape. I see the Earth continuing beyond the systems humans have built, but I also recognize that a thriving Earth does not necessarily mean a livable world for us.

Art is a survival mechanism for me. It is how I work through the uncertainty of a future I cannot control and make sense of what I believe may come. Through small, tangible moments of transformation, I explore the possibility of nature outlasting human civilization. My work holds both the destruction of what we have built and the relief of imagining what might exist beyond it. I don't make work to offer solutions or predict the future. I make it to understand our place within it, and to find some peace with the impermanence of the world we have created.
